Square Enix baru saja merilis game prequel gratis untuk Life is Strange 2, yang disebut The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit. game ini adalah pengalaman naratif asli yang diatur di dunia Life is Strange yang berisi tautan ke kisah & karakter baru dari Life is Strange 2, dan beberapa pilihan dan tindakan akan menghubungkan kedalam pengalaman Life is Strange 2.

Dalam The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit, pemain berperan sebagai Chris dan alter-ego super-heronya, Captain Spirit, di mana mereka harus menyelesaikan serangkaian misi sebagai Captain Spirit dan menemukan konten rahasia yang dapat dibuka.

Untuk sementara, game ini adalah game gratis, Square Enix telah menerapkan teknologi anti-tamper Denuvo yang kontroversial. Karena ternyata publisher tidak ingin siapa pun membajak game gratis ini. Itu tidak masuk akal tapi hei, ini Square Enix yang kita bicarakan.
